The Letter Template Editor is an inbuilt tool to assist in managing new and existing letter templates for use in AgencyCloud - access to this application within a company is usually limited

Letter templates are created in Microsoft Word using mail merge fields - these fields instruct the template to take the required information from AgencyCloud

Searching

Search for

the

required merge code

After entering search text, options

From search field:

  • Enter search text and press enter on keyboard

  • Merge code options below are filtered to only offer those that contain the search text

- Hovering over a merge code displays a summary of the code on scree

- For some codes, selecting the code offers more options below
In the example above
  • If , if creating/amending a template from property letters property letters, the merge code will be in the Property section
    Tip: every merge code that relates to a property starts with property 

  • If you need to pull through the accepted offer price for a sales property in your letter:

    • navigate to Property > Sales 

    • click and drag Accepted Offer Price onto the letter template to the right

  • The Accepted Offer Price (including the formatting preferences) merge code is shown on the letter template

  • Expand Property section, then expand Sales 

  • Locate Accepted Offer Price
    Hover over any entry to display a tooltip on screen which explains the merge code

    In this example, selecting the Accepted Offer Price code offers options below

1. Inserting a merge code

After choosing whether to create a new template or edit an existing one, merge codes can be chosen in the Letter Template Editor toolbar

From the toolbar

Browse to

on left:

  • Expand the sections to find and select the required field

  • Use the search bar to find the required code, see 1a 

  • Click and drag the merge field from the toolbar to its required position in the letter
