Consent for marketing does not affect property matching - to prevent an applicant being matched to a property, you should mark the applicant as inactive, as outlined here:

Changing

Setting marketing consent

is stored on the contact record

can be set/changed on any role record (i.e. contact, applicant, vendor, landlord, tenant) but is ultimately held against the contact and shared across any role the contact has

From top left of record, below contact name:

  • Click Marketing Consent and choose the required option

  • Create a new Power Report, choosing Contact Report as the report type

  • Click Pick Contact Criteria to return to the previous screen where more options can be chosen (such as adding Office criteria or a Linked Record) along with the option to Run Report

As well as setting Marketing Consent on the contact record, it is possible to apply individual levels of consent to mailings/events within the Categories the Categories & Mailings screen (also on the contact record)

This can be used when a contact has denied consent for general marketing but has expressed interest in specific publications - or the reverse, where a contact has consented for marketing but has requested to not receive items on specific subjects

Use the Categories & Mailings screen in the contact record to specify individual requirements - any mailings that a contact chooses to opt out of is recorded, along with the date it was changed
