Search for a tenant

As with Step 1 above, you can take advantage of the live connection with PayProp and use the drop-down menu to find tenants that already exist in PayProp. You can also search for their name. Once you have selected the correct tenant, click ‘Select tenant in PayProp’.

...

You can also create a new tenant if they don’t exist in your PayProp account by clicking ‘Create new tenant’ at the top of the form.

...

First name *

First name of the tenant.

Last name *

Surname of the tenant.

Business name *

If the tenant is a business, enter its name here.
If there are multiple tenants, such as spouses, enter both full names here.

Mobile number

Tenant’s mobile number. Make sure there are no spaces between the numbers. If text message notifications are enabled for the tenant, they will be sent to this number.

The country code is required.

E-mail address

Tenant’s e-mail address. Notifications and statements are enabled by default for tenants and they will be sent to this e-mail address.

Lead days

Specify when PayProp should automatically send the tenant an invoice by setting the number of days before the rent is due. For example, if you choose the 1st of every month as the invoice due date and set seven days as the reminder period, the tenant will receive their invoice on the 25th or 26th, reminding them that the upcoming month's rent is due and payable on or before the 1st of the month.

...

PayProp requires either a first name and last name, or a business name.
