  • The marketing consent is always stored against the Contact record

1. Setting marketing consent

Marketing Consent can be set/changed on any role record (i.e. contact, applicant, vendor, landlord, tenant) but is ultimately held against the contact and shared across any role the contact has

From top left of record, below contact name:

  • Click Marketing Consent and choose the required option

  • Click Save (top right)

  • A journal entry is added and shown in the Activity Feed, stating when it was changed and who by

For all contacts registered in RPS where their date of registration is prior to May 25th 2018, any contact who has a marketing status of "Consent not asked" will be treated as having Marketing Consent as given. Any contact record created after this date will treat consent not asked as denied.

2. Reporting on marketing consent

  • open Power reports
  • Make sure you are running a Contact report
  • Click Show contact criteria
  • Select Marketing consent

  • Create a new Power Report, choosing Contact Report as the report type and select Marketing consent

  • Click Pick Contact Criteria to return to the previous screen where more options can be chosen (such as adding Office criteria or a Linked Record) along with the option to Run Report
