1. Opening the map creator

2. Drawing the area
Once you've opened the map creator you'll be met with a global map:
- In the pictured search area, type the name of the location you wish to create an area for and press enter
You can use the options at the bottom right of the map to change how the map is displayed, i.e. hybrid, road, satellite or terrain

1. Access Google Maps menu options Open your internet browser: |

3. Create new map and position as required Image Added |
4. Access draw options Under the search field: Tip |

If you need to move the map again, click the Select items button (hand icon), move the map, then click the Draw a line button again |

5. Draw area Click once with the left mouse button to start drawing the area Move the mouse pointer to draw the line A second click will end the first line and begin the second line Image AddedContinue dragging and clicking to draw the shape Image AddedWhen drawing the final line, clicking the first marker will join up the shape and offer the option to name and save it (see next step)

4. Saving the area
Once you're happy with the area, it will need to be saved as a KML file:

7. Continue drawing areas When more than one area is required, these can be drawn as another layer within the same map Follow steps 3-4 again to position the map then select the Draw a line tool Draw and save the next required area, as outlined in steps 5-6 Image AddedEach saved layer is listed in the panel to the left of the screen

Click Untitled layer to change the name for the group of area layers The main name for the map can be changed too, click the label top left (titled Maps in the example above)

8. Export the map From the panel top left: | Image Added |
9. Download as KML Image AddedSelect Export as KML instead of KMZ option Click Download The .kml file will be downloaded (it may be displayed at the bottom of your browser window when ready) and will be available in your Downloads folder

10. Send map to Reapit Support Locate the downloaded file Click here to access the Service Portal and log a ticket, making sure you attach the KML file to the ticket This will be picked up by the Reapit Service Control team who will add the area and confirm once done

Saved maps can be edited Follow steps 1-2 above When clicking Saved, any saved maps will be displayed in the side panel menu Click the map name to re-launch it, then edit the map and save again
