This article contains details of common issues you may encounter when using Lifetime Legal with your Reapit software, including information on how to correct these issues.

1. Error: Contact address is not set for applicant or vendor

  • This error will appear if the contact record associated with the referral (applicant or vendor) does not have address lines 1 to 3, plus the postcode, populated (as shown in 1a)

     1a. Address lines 1-3 & postcode

  • You may also see this error when using addresses with an international format, in this scenario, it is important to ensure that these four fields are still filled out when attempting to send Lifetime Legal: Conveyancing referrals

  • A similar error may also be seen on the ID Check screen when attempting to manually amend the status

Applicant/vendor error:

ID check error:

Contact has no contact details set

At a minimum, the contact associated with the vendor or applicant being referred should have an e-mail address or phone number configured.

The supporting image demonstrates where on a contact record this can be added, you should also be able to add this information from the associated applicant or property record too.

Company's contact title is not set

Company contacts can not be used for sending referrals, these result in the pictured error appearing, this cannot be circumvented.

Referrals, where the vendor is a company, will need to be logged directly with Lifetime Legal, company referrals can not currently be processed via Reapit Agency Cloud.

Configuration issues

If you encounter either of the pictured errors, please contact Reapit Support through the usual channels.

These errors are both likely to be caused by missing or incorrect configuration of the Lifetime Legal integration in your Reapit Agency Cloud setup.

More than two vendors or applicants

Referrals attempted for property records or applicant records with more than two contacts linked will not be submitted, the system will offer to generate an e-mail to Lifetime Legal to process referrals such as these manually.

 Other common issues/queries

How do I create an AML check (ID Check)?

AML Checks will be created automatically when submitting a referral.

These can be observed in the ID Check menu, usually found on the contact details.

Updates to these checks will be automatically applied to this screen in Reapit Agency Cloud as Lifetime Legal progress the check.

How can I send a conveyancing referral only?

Conveyancing referrals can not be sent without an AML Check, the integration will always send a corresponding AML check.
