This article will explain the different marketing consent status' what they mean, and where to change them.

As well as consent on the contact record, it is possible to apply individual levels of consent to mailings or events within the appropriate section. You choose to use this to denote that the contact may have denied consent for general mailing items but has expressed interest in specific publications. Or the reverse is also true in that a contact who has consented for marketing can request to not receive items to do with particular subjects. The options can be selected, any Opt Out will be recorded with the date this was changed.
