Scottish features (UK only)

This page outlines the impact of selecting Scottish Features in System Configuration, as well as other features and functions usually enabled for Scottish agents

Before making changes to configuration, the relevant guidance provided in this section should be read thoroughly - any changes made to configuration that causes an impact on operation may incur a charge to rectify

Configuration settings

1. Scottish Features setting

From System Configuration:

  • General tab > Enable Scottish Features - tick to enable

2. Other options

These options are also usually used:

  1. Missives Concluded
    Properties tab > Use ‘Missives Concluded’ rather than ‘Exchanged’ - tick to enable

  2. Tenancy Types
    Custom Tenancy Types are usually set-up to give options of Short Assured and Private Residentials
    Set-up via System Configuration > Custom Lists > Tenancy Types

  3. Landlord Registrations
    Landlord Registrations functionality is usually enabled
    Enabled via System Configuration > Contacts / Companies > Enable Landlord Registrations - tick to enable

  4. Two custom DLLs are usually installed to allow access to:

    • Home Report screen (instead of EPC)

    • Custom Marketing screen - with an additional area for the Closing Date to be entered
      Enabled via System Configuration > Property Descriptions > Use custom property marketing screen - tick to enable

When Scottish Features are enabled

The table below highlights the areas of the system that are affected by the above configuration

1. Journal (property & applicant)

From property or applicant Journal:

  • Notes of Interest section available

2. Applicant Interest

From property Journal:

  • Click Reports/Interest
    (top right of screen in step 1)

  • Applicant Notes of Interest tick box option available

  • Any reports generated from this screen then include information on Notes of Interest

3. Property - Home Report button

  • HR button replaces EPC

4. Offers - Note of Interest option

While this is relevant to the Scottish system, it always available regardless of the Scottish configuration option

From Offers screen:

  • Click Add

  • A Note of Interest option is available

  • When logged, the offer Status shows as NOI Pending and can be changed to NOI Withdrawn
    A pending note of interest can be converted to an offer, click here for more information

5. Offers - Missives Concluded

From Offers screen:

  • Missives Concluded status replaces Exchanged

6. Property - Missives Concluded (or Exchange) price code

From a property report:

  • The code shown beside the Missives Concluded/Exchange price code is shown with (s) at the end - instead of (x)

7. Other

When all configuration options are enabled, as outlined in the Configuration settings > Other options section above:

  • Landlord Registrations available as an ID Check type, click here for more information

  • Property Marketing screen allows a Closing Date to be entered

  • Extra Tenancy Types, i.e. Short Assured and Private Residentials
