This page outlines the minimum hardware & software requirements to run Reapit

This guide covers:

Supported operating systems

Reapit supports all currently supported Microsoft desktop/server operating systems.

It is supported on Citrix Desktop and Microsoft Terminal Server platforms running the relevant Windows Server Operating System when running in a full Windows/Citrix Desktop deployment.

It does not run natively on an Apple macOS. The Reapit product is supported on an Apple Mac device only when installed on a Microsoft Windows virtual machine (see later section for supported versions) using Parallels or when Microsoft Windows is installed on the Apple device. Installing, configuring and maintaining the operating system, virtual machines, Parallels and any other applications outside of Reapit is the responsibility of the client or client’s IT department.

The Reapit product requires a reliable internet connection in order to run efficiently 

Letters, emails & spreadsheets

  • Letter, e-mail and spreadsheet editing is available via an inbuilt tool (DevExpress) or Microsoft Office can be used instead
    Please note that Microsoft Office is recommended

  • When using Office – testing has been carried out with Office 2013, 2016, 2019 & 365
    Web-based only version is not supported

When using Office, an installed version of Office on user machines is required
e.g. Office 2013 connected to Office 365 Exchange Online

Minimum requirements

Software requirements are as follows:

  • Microsoft .NET version 4.7.1

  • MySQL connector minimum version 8.0 (32bit)

  • Visual Studio C++ 2015 redistributable (32bit) or greater

  • XPS Driver

  • Internet Explorer - latest version needed for your supported operating system

  • Google Chrome or Firefox - latest version needed to access the Reapit IQ training system

  • Microsoft Edge WebView2 - required for Reapit AppMarket & Reapit Connect

Minimum hardware specification requirements are as follows:

  • Windows 8 Professional or greater

  • Office 2013 or greater
    (when using Microsoft Office for letters, emails & spreadsheets, see previous section)

  • 4 GB Ram or greater

  • 2 GHz dual-core processor or greater.

Whitelisting

The following list of domains require whitelisting on the client’s network (i.e. proxy server) to allow Reapit to function correctly:

  • Reapit.net.au
