Reapit is discontinuing support for iUpload and Legacy Web Service API - both are legacy methods providing a data feed from Reapit to third-party portals or suppliers

This page outlines the FAQs for the planned iUpload & Web Service API decommission- please take some time to read the questions & answers below:

Why are these changes being made?

  • Reapit is committed to ensuring products remain future-proof, providing a secure environment for your data

  • The Reapit Foundations Platform API has now been available to suppliers for over 3 years and provides a robust, advanced solution - this includes better security for your data while accommodating the need for deeper integrations via the AppMarket, allowing feeds to be carried out more frequently than existing tools

When are the changes being made?

  • As part of Reapit’s commitment to minimise customer impact, sufficient notice is being provided to allow customers to review their existing feeds with the impacted portal or service and to decide whether to use the new alternative method for data feed

Support for both iUpload and Web Service API methods will end on 31/12/2024

How will this data be available?

  • Reapit has developed Foundations, a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that simplifies the process for third parties and customers to create powerful, secure and in-demand integrations - users can leverage familiar tools, languages, and frameworks to build these integrations

  • Foundations is an open-source API that empowers portals and services to selectively retrieve or update data from Reapit - it also enables real-time data retrieval when needed

  • Regular updates to the Foundations API ensure that Reapit customers can take advantage of enhancements to the Reapit Product - most importantly, Foundations offers robustness and advanced features, enhancing security and providing full control over data access

What do I need to do?

  • If you wish to continue a feed to an impacted portal or service, please review whether the portal or service you currently use is listed as a supported portal in Reapit’s Business Service Catalogue
Keep in mind that your agency website might be using one of Reapit’s legacy methods, so check with your website provider to confirm

  • If the portal/service is not included in the Business Service Catalogue and an integration has not yet been created for installation via Reapit’s AppMarket, a Foundations app must be developed - this app will facilitate the data feed integration from Reapit to their portal or service

  • It is crucial to promptly communicate with any impacted portal as soon as possible - if maintaining a property feed to them is essential for your agency, sufficient time will be needed to complete the necessary work and transition to the Foundations app

What help is available?

  • A Foundations Developer Portal is available which is designed to be self-service

  • Comprehensive documentation is available for developers, providing guidance on how to utilise the Foundations API for creating their own AppMarket integration with Reapit - this documentation can be found here

Where should we send any additional queries?

  • Additionally, customers who wish to request the deactivation of any existing iUpload and Web Service API feeds currently in use before the deadline of 31/12/2024 can raise a ticket to Reapit Support using this form

Will there be a cost?

  • There is no cost to install an app from AppMarket - however, it is important to note there may be costs associated with API consumption

  • This flexibility allows developers to build an integration to precisely meet required needs - as they have the option to pull data once a day or choose more frequent updates

  • It is recommended that a developer who plans to review Foundations for building a replacement feed also takes a look at the Website Development Guide - this guide was created to assist developers in working with the Foundations API and provides insights on building efficient integrations to minimise API consumption costs
