Restrict ability to export to custom Excel/XML template - configuration option

Configurable option for Enterprise customers

Users can be prevented from exporting the content of a grid to a custom Excel or XML template - this can be done on an individual basis, for specific group(s) or for all users

When enabled, the screen below shows how this will affect the export option on a grid

From a report results grid or a grid accessed via the Organiser:

  • Right-click column headings and select Export to

    • The user is able to export the grid content to a standard Excel spreadsheet or XML document

    • The option to export to a custom Excel spreadsheet or XML document has been removed

It is also possible to prevent users from exporting to standard Excel/XML templates

Unless settings are changed, the default is for all users to be able to export to both standard and custom Excel/XML templates
