If you need to change a landlord on a property, this is possible - but first, all transactions must be cleared before the landlord can be changed

This page outlines how to change a landlord where no transactions exist - click here for guidance on changing the landlord when transactions are involved


1. Check for outstanding payments

  • From Landlord Details screen, click Transactions to ensure there are no outstanding payments to be made

  • If the screen is blank, then the landlord record can be removed from the property safely


2. Clearing the landlord

  • Go to the property record

  • Right-click over Landlord and select Clear this property's landlord 

    Dependent on security permissions, if in doubt, contact your manager

3. Adding the new landlord

  • After clearing the old landlord, click the Landlord link

  • The Search Landlords screen is displayed, use this to search for the required landlord
    If not found, click Add to create new

    This search is for landlord records only; to include contacts in the search, tick Include contacts (top of screen)
