A configuration option is available which ensures that the next inspection date on a tenancy correlates with the next inspection date established via showing in the inspection schedule
The When a difference between the dates occurs is due to how the next inspection date is calculated on the tenancy and the inspection schedule:

the number of days set in Regular frequency* is added to the date of the previous inspectionWith the configuration setting enabled
the number of days set in Regular frequency* is calculated from the start of the tenancy, rather than the date of the previous inspection appointment (which may have happened several days later/earlier than the schedule)
*and initial inspection frequency (where configured)
To avoid a difference between the dates, it is advised to use this configuration option can be used to ensure that the next inspection date on the tenancy matches the next date on the inspection schedule
