You may notice that you cannot view a certain record because it is **Masked** for yourself. This article will explain why this is happening and the best approach to take.We are able to Mask Applicants/Properties/Contacts/Diary .

RPS masks applicants/properties/contacts/diary entries based on which negotiator owns the record or which office owns the record.

1. Why are records masked?

A record will only be masked is masked due to the security settings for your company.
This is effected affected by the negotiator/office that the Manager/Negotiator or Office that owns that record
Although a contact/property may be yours; you may not have the necessary permissions to view that office/negotiator's data in RPS

On the odd occasion, it is just the name of the record has been changed. If this is the case, you will still be able to access the record and amend the name field

2. Editing a masked record On some occasions, while the record appears masked, you are still able to click links, view information and possibly make some changes For example, in the screen on the right, the Vendor link can still be clicked and details accessed	Image Added Image Added
