Available from version 12.202201

Various changes have been made to the quick property search function, carried out via the main menu, to increase efficiency and system performance

...

  • Only property address details are searched

  • Contact/company details held on a property record are no longer searched, meaning no contact names, contact details (e.g. phone number/email) or contact addresses are included in the search

Example

  • Searching using a name will only look at the search term within the property address

  • It will not look at contact or company records containing this search term
e.g. Wilson (which is typically a name) is only returned when it is part of a property address

...

  • Only one wildcard search is used in a search

  • The wildcard is only applied to the end of the search term, rather than to every space within the search term/phrase, as done previously

Example

  • Searching for ‘65 Long’ will return results that match ‘65’ exactly and start with ‘long’
(with ‘long’ being is the last term within the search , and therefore is where the wildcard is applied)

  • Prior to this release, a wildcard would also be applied after the number - for example, searching for ‘6 Long' would have returned the property in the example below, along with ‘61 Long Street, 62 Long Street, 63 Long Street, and so on) - now, searching for '6 long’ will only return properties that contain '6 long’ at the start of the search term
