This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to the following regions: UK, APAC, UAE

Where recording electronic correspondence consent is required, and all tenants have given consent to receive communication electronically, this can be recorded in the tenancy screen.

Any changes to this setting are added to the journal. The setting can also be reported on and added to grids when reporting on tenancies.


1. Marking electronic consent given

When all tenants have given consent to receive communication electronically

From the tenancy:

  • Click Management tab

  • Tick Electronic correspondence consent given

  • Click Save


2. Changes to the consent setting

Any changes to the consent setting are logged in the Tenancy Notes, as shown on the right

If the notes don't show:

  • Click Tenancy Notes and select Choose entries to view

  • Select Management Note

  • Click Accept


3. Reporting option

From Power Reports:

  • Select Tenancy Report

  • Add other required criteria
    e.g. Manager

  • Click Show more then select Elec. consent 
    • Set to is true or is false

  • Click Run Report


4. Add to grid option

After running a tenancy report, information on electronic correspondence consent can be added to the grid

From the report results grid:

  • Right-click over a column heading

  • Click Pick columns and select Elec. consent

    The column will be added

To see this information next time you run a tenancy report:

  • Right-click over a column heading again

  • Select Save grid layout
