The Letter Template Editor is an inbuilt tool to assist in managing new and existing letter templates for use in Reapit Agency Cloud - access to this application within a company is usually limited

Letter templates are created in Microsoft Word using mail merge fields - these fields instruct the template to take the required information from your Reapit database

For more information on the Letter Template Editor, click here

1. Inserting a merge code

After choosing whether to create a new template or edit an existing one, merge codes can be chosen in the Letter Template Editor toolbar

  • Browse to select the required field

  • Use the search bar to find the required code, see 1a

  • Click and drag the merge field from the toolbar to its required position in the letter

1a. Searching for the required merge code
  • After entering search text, options are filtered to only offer those that contain the search text
  • In this example, expanding any of the options will show merge codes related to price

2. Example

With any merge code, ensure you navigate to the right category for your code.

For example:

  • If creating/amending a template from property letters, the merge code will be in the Property section

Tip: every merge code that relates to a property starts with property

  • If you need to pull through the accepted offer price for a sales property in your letter:
    • navigate to Property > Sales
    • click and drag Accepted Offer Price onto the letter template to the right

  • The Accepted Offer Price (including the formatting preferences) merge code is shown on the letter template

2a. Merge code information and options
  • Hovering over a merge code displays a summary of the code on screen

  • For some codes, selecting the code offers more options below
In the example above, selecting the Accepted Offer Price code offers options below for how the resulting data should be formatted (i.e. as a price/with decimals, as a number in words or as a percentage)

  • No labels
