Email a PDF letter

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

Letters can be converted to PDF and emailed within the Reapit system

1. Create letter and email

For more information on creating and saving letters, click here: Create & save a letter

  • Create the letter as usual in the Reapit system

  • From the letter in Word:

    • Click Save (in Word)
      The screen will switch back to the Reapit Letter Generator displaying document options (shown below)

    • Select E-mail PDF and click Accept

2. Prepare email to send

The process to follow depends on which Reapit version you are running
However, if you use DevExpress (rather than Word) for letters, steps b & c apply, rather then the version of Reapit you are running

a. From version 12.167+

b. From version 12.166 and below

  • A new email will be created with the letter attached as a PDF file

  • Complete the email and click Send

c. When the email had been sent with the PDF attached

  • If you have finished with the letter, close the Word document

  • If you need to carry out another task with the letter, such as to save it to Reapit as a Word and/or PDF document, see this guide: Create & save a letter

3. Email option from letters screen

When a letter has been saved to the Letters screen (or any Documents screen):

  • Right-click over the letter and select Attach to e-mail
