For clients with large databases, especially large volumes of archived data, they may find that searching from the main menu bar results in performance issues with their Reapit software.

To overcome this, a configuration option is available that switches off archive searching for applicants/properties/contacts from the main menu. Archive searching will still be available, but only when a user chooses to do this.

To enable this configuration option, contact Reapit Support

1. Searching for applicants/properties/contacts

  • When using the main menu for searching for any/all* of the above record types, no archive searching will be carried out

  • This means that archived records will not be shown in this menu

    * See note on Configuration settings below

2. Searching for archived
applicants/properties/contacts

To search the archive, after carrying out a search:

  • Click Advanced Search at the bottom of the menu bar (as shown in step 1)
  • Select Sales/Lettings, where needed

  • Tick Archive

Configuration settings

Configuration for this feature is available for one, two or all of the following record types: applicants, properties or contacts
