Restrictions on editing/deleting tasks - configuration options

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

Two new configuration options are available for tasks. When enabled, a user is restricted from:

  1. Editing or deleting tasks
Once a task is sent, then no detail can be changed, the task becomes read-only and cannot be deleted
(When this configuration is not in use, tasks can be set-up to be edited/deleted by all users or just by the original author of the task only - you may also only be able to view tasks for your office)

  2. Editing or deleting follow up notes on completed tasks
When a task is marked as completed, the follow-up notes will become read-only

To enable one/both of these configuration options, click here to contact Reapit Support

1. When editing/deleting tasks is restricted

  • The task cannot be deleted from the tasks and messages screen

  • When opening a task, the task detail can be viewed but not edited

  • The only options are available are to Print the task or Mark as Completed

When a task has no restrictions:

  • A delete button is available (top right)

  • The task detail can be edited including task type, body text, date to activate and associated records

2. When editing/deleting follow up notes on completed tasks is restricted

When opening a task that has been marked as completed:

  • The top of the screen displays the date the task was completed and who by, along with any follow up notes that have been added

  • Clicking this detail will display the Complete task screen in read-only format
