Use default phone application to make outbound calls - configuration option

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

Available from version 12.174

Configurable option for Enterprise customers
To request this option to be enabled on your system, click here to contact Reapit Support

A configuration option is available which allows your default phone application to be used to make outbound calls from contact numbers stored in Reapit, without needing TAPI dialling functionality to be set-up (as required prior to version 12.174)

This means that contact numbers stored in Reapit can be dialled directly from your desktop (where a telephone shortcut icon is available) and the telephony software app on your PC/laptop will dial the number

When a telephone icon is displayed next to a contact number:

  • Click icon and select Dial number
The dial number option is available when clicking on a telephone/mobile shortcut icon shown beside a mobile or landline number
