Add a tenancy alert

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

An alert can be created on a tenancy record - this alert displays on the tenancy Activity Feed and also any works orders for the tenancy, as well as the associated property record

Prior to version 12.151, alerts could only be created from a contact record, as outlined here:
- this functionality is still in place

One tenancy alert can be added - a tenancy alert is added in addition to any other types of alert currently in place

From version 12.152+, alert functionality is further extended to allow applicant and property alerts to be created

1. Create tenancy alert

Open the tenancy record where the alert is to be added

From Activity Feed panel:

  • Click and select Create tenancy alert

  • Enter alert text

  • Click the cross (top right corner) to save & close the alert

  • A prompt will be displayed - click Yes

2. View alert

  • Alerts are displayed at the top of the tenancy Activity Feed

The alert is also displayed on the associated property record & works orders for the tenancy, see step 3

The alert will stay in place until it is updated or cleared, see step 4

In this example, the landlord has an alert added to their contact record too - the Contact Alert is shown at the top with the Tenancy Alert below it, followed by other usual Activity Feed entries

3. Tenancy alert on property record & works orders

The alert is also displayed on:

  • the associated property record for the tenancy

  • any works orders for the tenancy

4. Edit/clear alert

From the tenancy alert:

  • Right-click alert for options to Edit alert or Clear alert

    • Edit alert
Alert text window is displayed, update alert and close window

    • Clear alert
Prompt is displayed, click Yes to clear
