Add a contact alert

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

A contact alert should be used for important information - it is added on the contact record and displayed in the Activity Feed of any role record the contact is associated with (e.g. property, applicant, landlord, tenancy)

1. Create contact alert

Open the contact record for the person you need to add an alert to

From Activity Feed panel:

  • Click and select Create contact alert 

  • Enter alert text

  • Click the cross (top right corner) to save & close the alert

  • A prompt will be displayed - click Yes

2. View contact alert

  • The alert is displayed at the top of the contact Activity Feed

    It is also displayed on all other role records that the contact has, see step 3

    The alert will stay in place until it is updated or cleared, see step 4

 

 

3. Alert displayed on other records

The alert will also be shown on any other role that the contact has

For example - if the contact is a vendor, the alert will be displayed on their property record too

4. Edit/clear alert

From contact alert (on any record):

  • Right-click alert for options to Edit alert and Clear alert

    • Edit alert
      Alert text window is displayed, update alert and close window

    • Clear alert
      Prompt is displayed, click Yes
