Organiser category/panel data blocked when slow to load

To ensure efficient loading of the Organiser, any categories/panels that are slow to load will be blocked and will not automatically run when next launching the Organiser - any blocked category/panel can be manually loaded when required

On systems where the load of the Organiser was taking longer than the default setting (see configuration note above), this update allows the Organiser to load quicker and be ready to use within the time set as default

It is often the case that not every element within a panel or category is required, for each user, every time the Organiser is launched - when a category or panel is required, it can be loaded easily with a one click which often results in a quicker load of that data than seen prior to this update

This update will only be apparent to customers with Organiser categories/panels that are taking longer than the default setting to load when the Organiser is launched

When launching the Organiser: Any category that is slow to load will be displayed with a refresh icon As seen in the Overview, To do List and Property Management panels below Any panel that is slow to load will be displayed with text informing that it has been slow to load As seen in the My Appointments and Post-tenancy checks incomplete panels below To view the count/content of a category/panel that is slow to load: Category - click the refresh icon to the right of the category title, or click the category title to view its content Panel - click the refresh button top right of panel header Open What is considered as a ‘slow’ load is taken from configuration settings The default setting is 10+ seconds (see configuration notes in the panel at the top of this guide) Also included in this update is a limit on how many items can be shown in an organiser category/panel, with the default setting being 1000 records If slow-loading on the Organiser is an issue on your system and is affecting custom-built categories, you may wish to consider whether you still require these categories/panels on the Organiser panel An alternative would be to remove any slow-loading categories/panels from the Organiser, saving them as a predefined report within the Power Reports screen instead For more information on saving a predefined report within Power Reports, click here: Saving Power Report criteria and sharing reports
