New user interface - journal screen

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

As part of the new user interface (UI) project, the journal screen seen on a property, applicant and contact record has been redesigned to bring it in line with previously redesigned screens

All existing functionality exists but with a refreshed look and feel with enhanced usability features

An example applicant journal is shown above

The information below picks out the key new features and enhancements found in the applicant, property and contact journals

1. Reduced sections displayed

  • Sections are only shown when information exists

For example, if a property has no viewings booked, then no Viewings section is shown

2. Preview / information panels

The right-hand side panels show information about the selected entry (e.g. viewing, offer, match) and related applicant/property for the entry - an example property journal is shown below

  • Information about the selected entry is shown on the right, followed by information about the related record (i.e. applicant/property) below that

  • When possible, the related screen can be accessed by clicking the pencil icon

  • Where follow up notes can be entered, the notes entered are shown or, where not yet added, an option to add follow up notes is offered

  • On the applicant journal, the related property image is displayed, with the option to view the property on a map

You can also scroll through the property images and click on them to view a thumbnail
Where images haven't been entered for the property yet, the property's map location is shown instead

3. Contact shortcuts

As seen in other new UI screens, icons beside contact details offer shortcuts

  • For example: send email/SMS or copy
