This page explains the process to follow in order to raise a good will credit for a landlord

1. Access the Credit Notes screen on the landlord

For the landlord who the good will credit is to be raised for, access the landlord record:

  • Right-click Payments and select Credit Note


2. Raise the good will credit

From the Credit Notes screen: 

  • Click Filters and select Raise Good Will Credit

  • If prompted, select the property that the goodwill relates to

  • When prompted, select Nominal Account and if the credit is to include VAT

  • Enter the amount to credit, tick the record and click Next

3. Finalise details of the good will credit

From the Credit Notes screen: 

  • Select a Type from drop down menu

  • Enter a Description
    This is used as the narrative on the landlord transaction screen and statement

  • Click Finish to raise the credit

4. Review the good will credit on the landlord ledger

From the Landlord Details screen:

  • Click Transactions 

    The good will credit will now be shown on the account
