'By receipt' view on the tenancy transactions screen shows the details of all receipts to the account - other transactions such as credit notes are also included

1. Accessing By Receipt view

From the Tenancy record, in the Accounts Functions panel:

  • Click Transactions and select By Receipt 
  • Each receipt, will be highlighted in bold
    The date received, payment method and amount are displayed
    APAC only: the Rent paid to date for each receipt will be displayed


  • Holding the mouse over the receipt displays a tooltip with further information - including if the receipt is cleared (as shown above)

  • Under each receipt is a list of the invoices paid, displaying the individual allocations

  • Columns provide details of the paid invoices - each column is explained below:

    • Date - date of the invoice 

    • Description - description of the invoice that was paid 

    • Invoiced - total of the original invoice paid

    • Paid - amount paid towards the specific invoice using the receipt

    • Unpaid - balance outstanding of the invoice after the receipt was allocated

    • Rent paid to - date that the receipt paid the rent to (APAC only)

    • Days late - using the rent due date, how late the payment was in days


2. Current unpaid invoices

  • Details of current unpaid invoices will also be displayed for visibility


3. Unpaid column

  • The unpaid column also retains historic data
    This allows you to see, at a glance, the tenant's payment history

4. Reversed/dishonoured receipt

  • If the receipt is reversed/dishonoured, the receipt will be marked as Reversed
    The transaction below is the debit leaving the tenant account

5. View further actions

  • Right-click on the receipt to view further actions

6. Expand/collapse each section

  • Right-click on the arrow to expand or collapse all


The view will be saved, so next time the screen is opened it will default to your preferred view
