Update property information on portals (UK only)

This page explains how to ensure that changes made to a property record are updated on the relevant property portals - this is useful if you have made a change to a property (for example - price, description, images) and you want to apply these update(s) on the relevant portal(s) as soon as possible

  • The property marketing screen allows updates to be sent manually to the relevant portals, either individually or in bulk

  • For properties being uploaded to portals via real time data feed (RTDF) functionality, changes are detected automatically and can be updated by confirming a prompt

Use property marketing screen to updates relevant portals manually (individually or in bulk)

The property marketing screen allows updates to be sent manually to the relevant portals, either individually or in bulk

From the property record where changes have been made:

  • Click Marketing

  • Click Update portals

    • To update all portals in bulk, select Update All

    • To update individual portals, select required option - e.g. Update Rightmove

This will update the necessary portals and display a Sending was successful message
If there is nothing to update, this will also be confirmed via a pop-up message

Automatic update prompts (when uploading to portals via RTDF)

For properties being uploaded to portals via real time data feed (RTDF) functionality, changes are detected automatically and can be updated by confirming a prompt

1. Property conditions

When specific options on a property record are updated, a prompt is displayed to ask the user if they want to update their relevant property marketing portals (such as Rightmove, Zoopla, On the Market)

A prompt to update the portals will be displayed when:

  • No internet advertising (on property marketing screen) - is un-ticked

  • Property status on a sales property, is set to any of the following:

    • For Sale - Available

    • Under Offer - Available
      Sold STC - Available
      Sale Agreed - Available
      Terminology used is dependent on configuration

  • Property status on a lettings property, is set to any of the following:

    • To Let - Available

    • Arranging Tenancy - Available

    • Tenancy Current - Available

    • Sold

If portals have been disabled via the Disable portals option on the property marketing screen, the prompt to upload to the portal(s) will not be displayed when making updates to the property

  1. Specific fields that will prompt to update the portals

For the following fields/areas on a property record, when changes/updates are made and the property is saved, a prompt will be displayed:

  • Address

  • Lat/Long coordinates

  • Descriptions

  • Attributes

  • Details (adding/removing a brochure)

  • Pictures

  • Rooms

  • Status changed to any of the statuses listed in section 1

  • No internet advertising (on property marketing screen) being ticked/un-ticked

  1. Prompt to upload changes

The prompt to update the portals with changes will be displayed when:

  • The property meets the relevant conditions, as outlined in section 1
    AND

  • When any of the relevant fields are updated, as outlined in section 2
    AND

  • The property is next saved

The following prompt will be displayed:

  • Click Yes to update all portals
    The portals you are uploading to will be listed on the prompt

Clicking Yes on the prompt above has the same outcome as clicking the option in the property marketing screen to update all portals in bulk (as outlined in the section above)
