Generate read only/non-editable letters - configuration option

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

A configuration option is available which makes letters generated via the Reapit system non-editable (or read-only)

Authorised users can be given a password to allow them to make changes to letters

To enable this configuration option, click here to contact Reapit Support

From a Letters screen:

  • Generate a letter as usual
    The letter is displayed in Word

  • If attempting to change the letter, the Restrict Editing panel will be displayed (on right)

  • Authorised users can click Stop Protection to enter password and make required changes

  • Non-authorised users can still print and save the letter (as a PDF), as usual
