This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

Applicable from version 12.183

Background structure changes regarding the storage of journaled match information have been made which have implications for any previously saved reports that include reporting on match information in the journal

This guide covers:

What are the background changes in 12.183?

Version 12.183 introduces a new journal table specifically for the storage of match information called JNLMATCH (termed journal match table for this guide)

Prior to this version, the journal match information was stored in a central journal table along with all other journal entries

The new journal match table will only store match records, this includes the match-related journal types of: Match, Details Sent, Brochure Sent and Not Matched

This improved database structure will enhance efficiency and future functionality of your system

How does this impact my saved reports?

When your system is upgraded to 12.183, any previously saved reports that include reporting on match information in the journal will now display with a large red exclamation mark icon and will require the report criteria to be updated in order to continue to use that report

The guidelines below outline how to identify and fix such reports so they will work with the new journal match table

If you do not have any saved reports, in Power Reports or on the Organiser, that contain criteria looking at journal entries with the type of Match, Details Sent, Brochure Sent and Not Matched, you will not experience any visible impact on your saved reports - therefore the content of this guide can be disregarded

How to identify & fix affected reports

Affected reports are those containing criteria looking at journal entries for any of the following journal types: Match, Details Sent, Brochure Sent and Not Matched

Identify affected report on Power Reports screen and/or Organiser panel

Saved reports affected by the move to the journal match table will display with a large red exclamation mark - this will be seen when a report has been saved in the Power Reports screen and also when a report has been added to an Organiser panel

A single large red exclamation icon indicates the report requires repair
Hovering over the icon displays a tool tip which indicates the issue
