ID check override option - configuration option

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

When using a third party for ID checking (such as TransUnion, LexisNexis or Experian) - a configuration option is available which allows a user to manually override the check

This has been designed for situations where background validation via the third party has failed or expired, or is close to expiring/taking an extended amount of time

The process for overriding an ID check (introduced in version 12.146) differs between using version 12.146-12.156 & 12.157+, the instructions below cover both processes

From version 12.160, a manual override on an ID check can be carried out without entering any required ID data in the Primary and/or Secondary ID field, click here for more information:

1. Manually overriding a check

From a contact record:

  • Click Identity Check to access the ID Check screen

  • Click the link beside ID Check

    • Version 12.146-12.156: click Identity Check Override and mark the check as Passed or Failed

    • Version 12.157+: click Identity Check Override

2. Add override notes

The prompt to add notes is automatically displayed

  • Add override notes

  • Click Accept

 

3. ID check complete

  • Version 12.146-12.156: ID Check status now shows as Successful/Failed (manual override)

  • Version 12.157+: ID Check status now shows as Approved by Identity Check Override

Override notes are shown in the panel to the right, along with who made the manual override and the date it was done

Manual overrides (and any ID changes) are also logged in the Activity Feed on the contact record
