Withdrawing or disinstructing a property

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

When a property is withdrawn from the market, there can be many different reasons why, but there are usually just two outcomes - the vendor has withdrawn the property from the market altogether or they have withdrawn to put it on the market with a competitor

This page outlines how to withdraw a property and how to indicate that it is now on the market with a competitor - it also covers how to manage withdrawn properties to help generate future business

1. Change property status

From the property record:

  • Click the Status menu and select Withdrawn

2. Enter the Withdrawal Details

  • Enter the Reason

  • Where applicable, enter the Instructed Agent details

  • Click Accept

3. Withdrawn property

Where another agent has been instructed (as shown right):

  • Status will be displayed as Withdrawn (Disinstructed) and the agent details are displayed on the left

To display the vendor details, click the orange contact icon to the right of the agent name

Where another agent has not been instructed:

  • Status will be displayed as Withdrawn and the vendor details are shown on the left

4. Managing withdrawn properties

Where a future opportunity exists, rather than archiving a withdrawn property, use the Next call functionality to remind you to call the client to discuss relisting

  • In Activity Feed section, click button and select Create journal entry

Add journal entry regarding the withdrawn reason and any information that will help when contacting the client in the future

  • Click Accept

A prompt to update the next/last call dates will be displayed

  • Ensure Update last/next call dates is selected, click Accept

  • The property will be displayed in the Vendors/Landlords To Call list on the Organiser from the Next call date and until the Last call date is updated

5. Reporting
