Right to Rent (RTR) ID check - configuration option

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

A configuration option is available to allow a Right to Rent ID check to be logged separately to a standard ID check

1. Access Right to Rent (RTR) option in ID screen

From an applicant, vendor, tenant, landlord or contact screen:

  • Click Identity Check

  • Click Add New and select New Right to Rent check

2. Log RTR ID check

From ID screen:

  • Enter the required details for the check
    The details required are dependent on configuration

  • Select relevant Right to Rent reason (bottom right), options are:
    Permanent right to reside, Time limited right to reside, No right to reside

  • Click Save
    The new check and its status is displayed on the left side of the screen

3. Report on RTR checks

From version 12.181, RTR reports can be run as a standard report type, click here for more information:

Prior to version 12.181 - depending on configuration, you may be able to report on RTR ID checks via custom criteria available in ID Check report criteria

From the main menu:

  • Click Reports and select Power Reports

  • Change the report type to Contact and enter any required criteria, such as Active and/or Office, as shown below

  • From Linked Records, click ID Check

  • Select the RTR criteria to report on: RTR expiry & RTR status
    Depending on configuration, you may need to click Show more to see the RTR criteria

  • In this example, the report will return active contacts from your office whose RTR expiry is within the dates entered - selecting an RTR status will filter the results by that type (or leave blank for all)
