Lettings property licensing - configuration option

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

A configuration option is available which provides a new screen within property Attributes where property license information can be recorded

From a lettings property:

In the Attributes panel:

  • Click edit (pencil) icon

  • Click Licensing tab

  • Use the left side of the screen to enter property license information

2. Upload documents

Upload any related documents in this panel

From Documents panel:

  • Click  
    Browse to file on your device, double-click when found

  • Rename allows the filename to be changed

  • If uploading the license document, leave Type set to License

  • Click Accept
    The file is now available in the Documents window - right-click for options to email, print or delete

3. Requirements

Add any required safety certificates for the license

From Requirements panel:

  • Click  and select certificate type

    Certificate type is added to the list

  • When uploaded, tick the Uploaded box
    The Updated By/On columns are then automatically updated

  • In the Link Certificate column, click the icon and select the relevant safety certificate to link this requirement to

    • The certificate should already be added (and be valid) via the Appliances, Insurance & Safety tab of property Attributes in order to link it to a requirement

    • The link icon displays red when the certificate has expired

    • A requirement can be deleted by selecting it and pressing delete on your keyboard

4. Reporting on property license information

Reporting on property license information can be carried out, where configured

From the main menu:

  • Click Reports and select Power Reports

  • Change the report type to Property and Lettings
    The highlighted fields below are those relating to reporting on property license information, allowing you to report on properties with a license, type, status and expiry
    (other fields can also be configured to be reported on)

Reports run regularly can be added to an Organiser panel - first, click Save to save the Power Report as a Predefined Report, then go to the Organiser and, from the panel header you wish to add the report to, click Settings (cog) icon and click the New Category link
