Updating property map locations (lat/long)

It is important that all property map locations are correct to ensure that potential buyers, using Map & Street View links within property portals, can see exactly where properties for sale or to let are located

The Reapit system has an inbuilt tool giving access to Google Maps which allows you to select the exact location of the property - this then updates the latitude & longitude (lat/long) coordinates, stored on the property marketing screen

The lat/long coordinates are fed to the property portals to display the property location

1. Access Google Maps via marketing screen

From property:

  • Click Marketing

  • Beside the Lat/Long coordinates, click Lookup/Change

2. Change map view

The Google Map Co-ordinates screen is displayed - to see the exact property location, switch the view to Satellite or Street View

To see the exact property location, switch the view to Satellite or Street View

To switch to satellite view:

  • Click Map (top left) and click Satellite - see 3a

To switch to street view:

  • Click and drag the yellow person icon (bottom right) over the property location - see 3b

3. Change location

The blue pin indicates the current position of the property

  • Click and drag the pin over the relevant property

  • Click Accept
