Support guidance & considerations when building Power Reports

1. How can Reapit Support help?

Reapit Support can provide technical and functional guidance on how to use Power Reports on standard reporting queries - however they are not positioned to create reports for clients

Where this is required, a consultancy service can be provided - see question 2

2. I have a complex requirement, should I still contact Reapit Support?

Many reporting queries / requests can be fulfilled by the Reapit Support team and, after consulting the online help, they should continue to be your first port of call for standard queries

However, if you have a complex reporting requirement, this should be discussed with your Reapit Client Success Manager (CSM) who can provide guidance and consultancy - your CSM has a broader and deeper understanding of your business and how you can best use Power Reporting and the Organiser to assist this

3. I don't think a Power Report is able to give me the information I need - who do I contact?

Power Reporting may not always be able to provide exactly what you need, you may need another form of report, such as an MI dashboard - in this scenario, Reapit Support will advise on this and, where possible, provide alternative options to achieve what is required

4. Is there training available?

Reporting is covered in all training courses for all roles at level 2 and above

Considerations when building a report

The following information might be useful for you to consider when building a report - most of this information will be required by Reapit Support if you need to contact them too

What business issue are you looking to resolve or identify and why?

If you need to contact Reapit Support, this provides context to the team regarding the actual data required, which could help to resolve the query quicker

What output are you looking for? (e.g. offers, vendors, properties)

Understanding the required outcome will determine how the report is set-up and configured

Once you have the report/data, what do you plan to do with it?

This provides further context and insight for the Reapit Support team, as this information can influence export options used

Is the data you need available via an existing grid in Reapit?

Grid functionality allows data being displayed on screen to be sorted, filtered and grouped by clicking or right-clicking the column headings

On any grid screen that shows data (i.e. where column headings can be clicked):

  • Add columns to grids to get additional information

    • Right-click over the column headings and click Pick columns
      This menu also allows the data to be exported to MS Excel

  • Once columns have been added - they can be saved to the grid for future use

    • Right-click over the column headings and click Save grid layout
