Certificate management screen for property management

Certificate management screen for property management

This guide has been reviewed against our global client base and classed as relevant to all regions

From AgencyCloud 12.143+, a certificate management screen has been implemented on a lettings/rentals property which provides the option to identify, for each certificate type, whether it is required
When a certificate is required, it also identifies whether the landlord is responsible for it

Prior to this, with the exception of gas/electric, the ability to specify that a certificate is managed by the landlord was available, but there wasn’t the ability to say that a certificate type is not required

1. Access certificate management screen

From a lettings property, in the attributes panel:

  • Click Certificates to display Appliances, Insurance & Safety

  • Click Certificate Responsibility
From AgencyCloud 12.143-12.159 - this option is displayed as Certificate Responsibility Management and is shown at the bottom of this screen

2. Certificate management screen settings

Each certificate type is listed

If a certificate type is required, to the right of the relevant certificate type:

  • Ensure Not Required is unticked

  • If it is to be managed by the landlord, select Managed By Landlord

  • If it is to be managed by the agent (or another), set to Managed By Agent
This setting is available from AgencyCloud 12.147+, for versions 12.143-46, leave set to Not Set

If a certificate type is not required, to the right of the relevant certificate type:

  • Tick Not Required
The other options to the right are greyed out as they are not applicable

When a certificate type is marked as ‘not required’ it will not appear in any certificate-related options on the Property Management panel on the Organiser
